Application Scheme of High Precision ADC for Automobile Battery Management Syste

In the field of electric vehicles,battery management system(BMS)plays an important role in ensuring battery safety and prolonging battery life.It monitors the key parameters of the battery such as voltage,current and temperature in real time,carries out thermal management,balanced control and state evaluation,and is a veritable"smart housekeeper"of the battery system.The core of all these precise monitoring is the technical support of high-precision analog-to-digital converter(ADC).ADX3202QAQFN32 digital-to-analog converter is a high-precision ADC suitable for automobile battery management system,which can provide reliable data transmission and battery monitoring.
 
Why does BMS need high-precision ADC?
BMS needs to collect weak signals such as voltage and current of each battery in real time,and any measurement error may lead to overcharge,overdischarge and even thermal runaway of the battery.High-precision ADC digital-to-analog converter can accurately convert these tiny analog signals into digital signals,ensuring that the system can accurately judge the battery state.Especially in the system with multiple batteries in series,the accuracy of ADC directly determines the reliability and safety of battery management.
 
Application scheme of high precision ADC:taking ADX3202 as an example
ADX3202 is a dual-channel,24-bitΔ-σanalog-to-digital converter specially designed for automobile BMS.It has high integration and excellent anti-interference ability,and is suitable for synchronous acquisition of various sensor signals.ADX3202 can be directly connected with shunt resistor,temperature sensor and resistor voltage dividing network,and used for measuring current,temperature and voltage respectively.Its multi-channel independent configuration ability makes BMS design more flexible.In addition,the built-in calibration register of ADC digital-to-analog converter chip further reduces the system error and improves the measurement consistency in the whole temperature range.
 
Technical characteristics of ADC digital-to-analog converter:
•Dual-channel synchronous sampling,24-bit high resolution,sampling rate up to 16Ksps;
•Integrated programmable gain amplifier(PGA)with a gain range of 1 to 128 times,supporting small signal amplification;
